Job Description

Job title: Senior Backend Developer Role Summary: Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable backend services using modern JavaScript ecosystems, driving technical direction and mentoring junior engineers. Expectations: Demonstrate ownership of end‑to‑end delivery, resolve complex issues independently, and influence product architecture collaboratively across teams. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop robust backend infrastructures with Node.js, TypeScript, and relevant frameworks. - Own the full lifecycle of technical initiatives from concept through deployment. - Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a high‑performance engineering culture. - Collaborate with product, frontend, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions. - Act as a stabilizing force, quickly diagnosing and resolving critical production issues. - Continuously refine development workflows and propose actionable improvements. Required Skills: - 5+ years of backend development experience in Node.js and TypeScript. - Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and API design principles. - Proven ability to architect scalable, maintainable systems. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. - Experience leading or contributing to iterative development processes. - Effective communication and mentorship capabilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in cloud or architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure) preferred but not mandatory.
