**Job Title:** Early Career Consultant – Building Structures
**Role Summary:**
Provide technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of building and infrastructure projects. Perform entry‑level structural engineering tasks under general supervision, including data collection, analysis, documentation, and basic design support.
**Expectations:**
- Work under general supervision and complete training on assigned tasks.
- Meet project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate within a team while managing independent responsibilities.
- Travel occasionally as project needs dictate.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collect, compile, and analyze site data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, geotechnical reports).
- Conduct basic research and inspections of site conditions, building components, and infrastructure to verify compliance with codes and permitting requirements.
- Assist in determining load and pressure effects on structures and ensuring structural soundness.
- Generate accurate documentation (drawings, 2‑D/3‑D illustrations, logs) using electronic systems.
- Perform routine engineering functions and provide technical assistance for design and operational strategies.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, project-specific procedures, and company policies.
- Support additional tasks as needed to meet business objectives.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Familiarity with structural and civil construction laws, codes, and compliance practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
- Proficiency in office automation, spreadsheets, and engineering software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, GeoPak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS).
- Self‑leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health, safety, and conduct policies.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 0–1 year relevant post‑education experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in the United States immediately.
