Job Description

**Job Title:** Mainframe Security Engineer (z/OS, ACF2/TSS/RACF, zSecure) **Role Summary:** Leverage deep expertise in z/OS mainframe security to administer and enhance system hardening, conduct detailed vulnerability analyses, and support day‑to‑day security initiatives. Act as the primary subject‑matter expert for ACF2/TSS and zSecure Audit, providing guidance, training, and consulting across engineering and information security teams. **Expactations:** Deliver actionable security insights, maintain compliance standards, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and produce clear documentation and reports that drive continuous improvement of mainframe security posture. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute tactical project activities: data analysis, asset modeling, and project documentation. - Serve as mainframe security SME for vulnerability management initiatives. - Advise on z/OS hardening, security controls, and remediation strategies. - Provide training and support for client‑specific vulnerability tools. - Coordinate efforts between mainframe engineering and InfoSec teams. - Use zSecure Audit for analysis, reporting, and compliance validation. - Apply ACF2/TSS/RACF STIGs in system hardening projects. - Contribute to security consulting and penetration testing (preferred). **Required Skills:** - 7–10 years of hands‑on zSecure Audit experience. - Proven expertise in ACF2 or TSS mainframe security. - Practical application of ACF2/TSS/RACF STIGs for hardening. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset. - Proactive, solution‑oriented approach to security challenges. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field **or** 15+ years of mainframe security experience.
