Job Description
Job Title: Sales Associate – Apprentice Role Summary: The apprentice Sales Associate supports the store manager in daily operations, provides frontline customer service, maintains visual merchandising standards, and processes merchandise. The role combines hands‑on retail responsibilities with a structured training program aimed at developing future store managers. Expectations: - Complete one‑year apprenticeship (Bac level) and/or two‑year apprenticeship (Bac + 2). - Achieve performance targets for commissions and objectives within 30 days of employment. - Progress to a role as a future store manager under manager mentorship. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and advise customers, ensuring a positive buying experience. - Ensure store presentation, cleanliness, and stock accuracy. - Receive and process merchandise, handle returns and orders. - Execute visual merchandising and window displays per brand guidelines. - Support the store director with operational and mid‑level management tasks. - Contribute to sales targets and report metrics to management. Required Skills: - Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills. - Basic numeracy for sales transactions and inventory handling. - Ability to follow visual merchandising guidelines and maintain store aesthetics. - Initiative, teamwork, and willingness to learn retail operations. - Previous retail or hospitality experience is advantageous. Required Education & Certifications: - Baccalaureate (or equivalent). - Eligibility for professional titles through the company’s training program: • Professional Title in Sales Advising (equiv. Bac, 1 day per week). • Professional Title in Merchandise Unit Management (equiv. Bac + 2, 2 days per week).
