**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)
**Role Summary**
Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment environments for mission‑critical analytic tools within a classified intelligence environment. Must ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of software from development to production, while meeting stringent security clearance and compliance requirements.
**Expectations**
- Maintain Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship required; green card holders and permanent residents not eligible.
- Telework up to 2 days per week with hybrid onsite presence.
- Provide proactive system monitoring, performance tuning, and documentation.
- Collaborate with configuration management, development, and operations teams.
- Support controlled and production‑like staging clusters for integration and testing.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitLab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
2. Create and manage infrastructure‑as‑code configurations with Terraform on AWS.
3. Deploy, test, and roll back software artifacts across staging and production environments.
4. Monitor system health, performance, and resource allocation; implement alerting and incident response.
5. Ensure integrity and traceability of software artifacts during transfers.
6. Produce and upkeep comprehensive operational and technical documentation.
7. Work closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into release pipelines.
8. Maintain compliance with Defense and DoD security standards for classified data.
**Required Skills**
- 20+ years of software engineering experience (experience may substitute for a degree).
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, Terraform, Git, GitLab, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot automation pipelines at scale.
- Knowledge of security operations and compliance within a classified environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship mandatory; eligibility to obtain or maintain federal security clearance.
