**Job Title:** Automation Engineer / Ignition SCADA Supervisor
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop and support industrial SCADA solutions using the Inductive Automation Ignition platform. Partner with automation, IT, and production teams to implement dashboards, integrate equipment, program PLCs, and configure industrial communication protocols. Deliver commissioning, testing, and ongoing technical support while maintaining high‑quality documentation and contributing to continuous improvement.
**Expectations:**
- Provide reliable technical assistance to industrial clients.
- Deliver end‑to‑end SCADA solutions on time and within budget.
- Maintain documentation, support procedures, and best‑practice references.
- Keep abreast of emerging SCADA, MES, and industrial networking technologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design, develop, and maintain Ignition SCADA applications.
2. Create synoptic panels, dashboards, and reports (Vision/ Perspective).
3. Integrate industrial devices (API, sensors, drives, network interfaces).
4. Program and modify PLC logic (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, or equivalent).
5. Configure industrial communication (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT).
6. Conduct testing, commissioning, and provide field support.
7. Draft and update technical documentation and user manuals.
8. Perform technology watch and propose system enhancements.
**Required Skills:**
- Engineering or Bachelor’s+5 degree in Automation or Industrial Computing.
- Proven experience in industrial automation and SCADA systems.
- Expertise with Inductive Automation Ignition platform.
- Solid understanding of SCADA/MES architecture.
- Proficient in SQL, Python/Jython scripting.
- PLC programming with Siemens, Schneider, or Rockwell.
- Familiarity with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and other industrial protocols.
- Autonomy, meticulousness, and teamwork orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication in French (technical English preferred).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Engineering degree or equivalent in automation, industrial computing, or related field.
- Certifications in PLC/SCADA (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider XY, Rockwell Studio) are advantageous but not mandatory.
