Job Description

Job Title: Platform Engineer – Lead Cloud Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of secure cloud platforms in classified environments, ensuring compliance with federal security frameworks and operational reliability across Azure and AWS. Expectations: - Maintain active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph. - Lead technical initiatives for classified cloud deployments. - Collaborate with delivery and security authorities to secure operating authority. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS classified regions. - Build and maintain platform components (Kubernetes, Helm, MySQL, containerized services) to meet mission requirements. - Implement and enforce FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD SRG compliance policies. - Create and maintain Azure policies, role definitions, and governance artifacts. - Manage upgrades, patching, and Tier 3 support for underlying platform. - Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep). - Coordinate with Delivery Managers and Government Authorizing Officials to achieve mission goals and secure Authority to Operate. Required Skills: - 5+ years of cloud engineering experience in AWS and/or Azure. - Proven experience deploying enterprise platforms in secure, classified environments. - Strong knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST SP 800‑53, DoD SRG compliance standards. - Expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, MySQL, and containerized workloads. - Automation and IaC proficiency (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or equivalent). - Excellent troubleshooting and Tier 3 escalation management. Required Education & Certifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph. - DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+). - Cloud certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
