Job Description
**Job Title:** Actuarial Valuation – Director & Actuary **Role Summary:** Lead actuarial strategy for annuity products and asset‑liability management. Own the investigation, development, and implementation of Principles‑Based Reserves (PBR) and drive the evolution of annuity valuation and risk management frameworks. Manage a team of actuaries, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, and provide guidance on actuarial best practices and regulatory compliance. **Expectations:** - Proven actuarial leadership with 6+ years of senior experience. - Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of the insurance industry. - Demonstrated capability to influence and drive strategic initiatives. - Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive the full lifecycle of PBR implementation: research, model development, validation, and reporting. - Shape and refine the organization’s annuity valuation methodologies and risk management processes. - Lead a team of actuarial professionals, delegate tasks, and mentor junior staff. - Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk management to integrate actuarial perspectives into product pricing and capital planning. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for long‑term reserves. - Deliver clear actuarial reports and presentations to senior management and external stakeholders. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in AXIS actuarial modeling and actuarial software suites. - Advanced knowledge of annuity products, interest rate modelling, and asset‑liability matching. - Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities. - Leadership experience with cross‑functional project management. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) or equivalent actuarial credential. - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.)
