Data Analyst Training & Internship Program
**Role Summary:**
Remote, unpaid internship providing hands‑on experience in data analytics and machine learning. Interns support data science teams on real‑world projects, applying Python, statistical methods, and visualization tools to transform raw data into actionable insights, while developing professional communication and presentation skills.
**Expectations:**
- Actively learn and apply data‑analysis workflows, including data acquisition, cleaning, preprocessing, and exploration.
- Develop proficiency with Python libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn) and statistical testing (e.g., t‑tests).
- Design and implement basic machine‑learning pipelines for finance, commerce, or procurement use cases.
- Produce clear dashboards and reports (Tableau, Excel) to share findings with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate independent work ethic and ability to collaborate remotely within a multidisciplinary team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Gather, refine, and analyze extensive datasets with the data science team.
2. Apply machine‑learning and data‑mining techniques to extract insights, focusing on risk analytics in banking/finance.
3. Conduct exploratory data analysis, develop and optimize models using no‑code databases and data‑mining tools.
4. Build and maintain ML pipelines for diverse applications in commerce, finance, and procurement.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate hypotheses, evaluate strategies, and present results.
6. Create visualizations and interactive dashboards using Tableau or similar tools.
7. Draft concise reports and presentations summarizing methodologies and outcomes.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Python programming, including pandas, numpy, and scikit‑learn.
- Statistical analysis (t‑tests, hypothesis testing) and data‑mining concepts.
- Data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation.
- Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
- Excel proficiency, including advanced formulas and data structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑motivation and independence suitable for remote work environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline.
