Job Description
**Job Title:** Associate Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance C++ desktop applications that interface with real‑time motion capture systems. Collaborate cross‑functionally with hardware, QA, and software teams to deliver robust solutions and internal tooling in C++ and Python. **Expectations:** - Deliver clean, well‑documented code that meets performance and reliability standards. - Participate in code reviews, testing, and iterative improvement cycles. - Communicate progress and technical challenges clearly to stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and refine C++ desktop applications interacting with motion capture hardware. - Create and maintain internal tools and pipelines using C++, Python, and related languages. - Work on real‑time, high‑performance systems and optimize for speed and low latency. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (software, hardware, QA) to integrate components. - Engage in peer code reviews, automated testing, and documentation practices. - Investigate and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in C++ (desktop application development). - Working knowledge of Python. - Strong analytical and debugging abilities. - Experience with real‑time system design and optimization. - Familiarity with motion capture or 3D tracking technologies. - Knowledge of machine learning or AI concepts (desirable). - Exposure to game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity (helpful). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and collaboration. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
