Job title: Automation Engineer (F/M)
Role Summary: Designs, programs, tests, and maintains industrial automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with technical specifications. Works cross‑functionally to integrate new components, troubleshoot faults, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Expactations: Master PLC programming and system troubleshooting, proactively propose technical solutions, manage priorities efficiently, maintain rigorous documentation and quality standards, demonstrate strong teamwork and communication, and continuously learn new technologies to enhance system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop automation programs from functional specifications and contribute to technical specifications documentation.
- Implement new programs and modify existing ones, conducting technical qualification (QI) tests.
- Integrate, evaluate, and test new components (sensors, cameras, drives, etc.).
- Manage inventory of automation spare parts following established procedures.
- Diagnose and repair automation components and programs; perform test runs and restore equipment service.
- Backup PLC programs, HMIs, drives, and related equipment per data protection guidelines.
- Define technical requirements and select equipment for new installations or upgrades.
- Coordinate and monitor external service provider interventions, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
- Update and maintain documentation (nomenclatures, historical records, electrical schematics, programs).
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider PLC programming (Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block).
- HMI configuration and integration.
- Motion control and drive troubleshooting.
- Sensor, camera, and I/O integration.
- Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
- Engineering tools (AutoCAD, FBD, TIA Portal, RSLogix, Studio 5000).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project coordination abilities.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s to Master’s level (Bac+2–Bac+5) in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Computing.
- Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) are highly desirable.
