**Job Title**
Senior IT Technician (Support Services)
**Role Summary**
Provide expert first‑ and second‑line technical support across the organization, manage user accounts and access, maintain hardware, software and network infrastructure, and lead security and improvement initiatives to ensure reliable, secure IT operations.
**Expectations**
- Deliver timely, effective support to end‑users.
- Maintain user access and IT assets in line with policy.
- Execute security and compliance tasks (e.g., patching, threat monitoring).
- Collaborate on improvement projects to enhance system performance and resilience.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Resolve desktop, laptop, printer, mobile and application issues via onsite or remote methods.
- Create, modify and delete user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and related systems.
- Configure and support Microsoft 365, Office, Business Central and other business applications.
- Diagnose and fix networking problems (Wi‑Fi, VPN, connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Manage and perform patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting on Windows and Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V), and cloud services.
- Administer and monitor security solutions, firewalls, endpoint protection, backups, and disaster‑recovery plans.
- Log incidents, follow ITIL best practices, and create documentation and user guides.
- Liaise with external IT service providers and vendors.
- Participate in IT project planning and execution.
**Required Skills**
- 1–3 years experience in IT support/helpdesk.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell.
- Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewall management).
- Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Database management (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Expertise in security (patch management, endpoint protection, backup, DR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail, accurate documentation, and time‑management under pressure.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Relevant IT qualification (e.g., A+ or equivalent) or proven practical experience.
- Certifications in Windows Server, Active Directory, or Microsoft 365 preferred.
