Job Description

Job Title: Accounting Manager Role Summary: Lead a small team of accounting professionals, oversee high‑value production and supervision of financial statements and tax filings for a select client portfolio, and serve as the primary client liaison delivering strategic advice and operational improvements. Expectations: Demonstrate proven leadership in a modern accounting environment, elevate team skills, maintain superior technical quality, and cultivate durable, high‑fidelity client relationships within a rapidly expanding firm. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and mentor 3 direct reports, fostering technical competence and strategic thinking. - Coordinate, supervise, and streamline the production of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. - Conduct quality reviews, control checks, and approve finalized outputs. - Prepare and present financial results and advisory insights to clients during meetings. - Provide proactive, value‑add consulting on optimization, structuring, and strategic planning for clients. - Serve as the primary point of contact for a demanding, varied portfolio, maintaining client satisfaction and retention. - Collaborate closely with a Senior Auditor/Partner for guidance, while exercising autonomy in day‑to‑day management. Required Skills: - Advanced production and supervisory accounting expertise. - Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities. - Excellent client‑relationship and consulting skills. - Proficiency with modern accounting tools (cloud, automation, data analytics). - Proactive mindset with problem‑solving orientation. - Effective communication and presentation abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent preferred.
