Job Description
Job title: Infrastructure Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure and cloud migrations for .NET and related application stacks, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance in mission‑critical environments. Expactations: • Deliver secure, scalable Azure solutions aligned with business requirements. • Maintain operational excellence through patching, monitoring, and backup governance. • Respond to production incidents and provide proactive support. • Lead transitional projects from on‑premises to cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute Azure cloud migrations, including workload assessment and re‑architecture. - Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure resources (VMs, App Services, PaaS) and associated networking components. - Apply regular patching and updates using SCCM, SCOM, and Azure Automation for OS, application, and firmware. - Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies, craft DR plans, and conduct fail‑over tests. - Manage vulnerability remediation with tools such as Tenable, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft Defender. - Provide ongoing support and root‑cause analysis for production .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, and Dynamics applications. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices for performance, cost, and security. Required Skills: - Azure administration and solution architecture (IaaS & PaaS). - Experience with .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Dynamics environments. - Strong networking fundamentals: OSI model, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, load balancing. - Proficiency with patch management (SCCM, SCOM, Azure Automation). - Backup, replication, and DR planning. - Security and vulnerability management (Tenable, Azure Security Center). - Troubleshooting of production workloads and infrastructure. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. - Certifications (preferred): • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (Associate/Expert) • Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate • Networking certifications (Network+, CCNA) (Note: Candidates with equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education or certifications.)
