Job title: Enterprise Solution Architect
Role Summary
Lead end‑to‑end architecture for an E‑Protocol platform that replaces static study protocols with a metadata‑rich, structured system. Own the design, integration strategy, compliance framework, and collaboration with client IT and digital stakeholders to enable automation across study setup, quality control, and regulatory submission.
Expectations
- US-based senior architect with strong technical and communication skills.
- Will travel occasionally; remote work possible.
- Deep understanding of regulated domains (healthcare, life sciences, financial services).
- Able to translate business pain points into technical solutions and produce clear design artifacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document solution architecture for structured protocol capture and automation workflows.
- Translate business requirements into technical design patterns and integration standards.
- Define integrations with downstream systems via APIs, event‑driven messaging, and canonical data models.
- Architect supporting services: rules validation, terminology management, scheduling logic, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with auditability, data lineage, traceability, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with client IT/Digital teams to align with enterprise architecture and digital initiatives.
- Conduct solution workshops, produce design artifacts (C4 diagrams, UML, DB diagrams).
- Oversee governance, data management, audit trail, and standardization of fields and terminology.
Required Skills
- Enterprise and solution architecture experience in complex regulated environments.
- Hands‑on expertise with event‑driven/workflow orchestration platforms (Camunda, Pega, Decisions, or equivalent) in a Microsoft‑based environment.
- Proficiency in API integration, canonical data models, and data orchestration across multiple applications.
- Experience with document/content management systems using metadata and templates for structured content generation.
- Knowledge of rules engines, terminology services, and data validation frameworks.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation of solution workshops.
- Familiarity with DevOps, SQL, Python, Spark, RESTful services, Azure, Power BI, Data Bricks, and scientific reporting.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF, Zachman) and workflow orchestration (Camunda Certified Practitioner, Pega Professional) are advantageous.
