**Job Title:** Software Engineer (Senior Node.js Developer) **Role Summary:** Senior Node.js engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining greenfield and existing web applications and backend services on a cloud‑based platform. Works within Scrum/Kanban teams, drives quality through CI/CD and TDD, mentors peers, and contributes to data‑centric, scalable solutions. **Expectations:** - Senior‑level expertise in Node.js and cloud technologies. - Ability to deliver high‑quality code quickly and reliably. - Proactive mentorship and knowledge‑sharing within the team. - Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability across IDEs and cloud services. - Commitment to Agile best practices and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and micro‑services using Node.js. - Collaborate with team members to define and implement functional solutions. - Support and enhance existing software and data infrastructure. - Produce clear documentation for new processes and products. - Implement and uphold CI/CD pipelines, test‑driven development, and quality standards. - Track work and progress using Azure DevOps (or similar Agile tools). - Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions. **Required Skills:** - Expert knowledge of Node.js and RESTful API design. - Experience building microservices and enterprise‑grade applications (scalability, performance, security). - Proficiency with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS. - Familiarity with cloud databases (DynamoDB, Aurora, MySQL). - Strong command of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps. - Comfortable with VS Code or comparable code editors. - Agile methodology experience (Scrum/Kanban). - Desirable: Python or C#; modern JavaScript front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue); Terraform; Swagger. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus but not mandatory.
