Job Description
**Job title**: Software Licensing Specialist/Manager **Role Summary**: Manage end-to-end software licensing operations across IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft environments. Configure and bundle licenses using ILMT, MDM, and Filenet; oversee audit readiness, capacity planning, and compliance for on-premise and cloud platforms. **Expectations**: * Deliver precise license optimization and cost control for a portfolio of up to $X million. * Maintain 100 % compliance with vendor SARs and audit requirements. * Provide actionable license renewal and consolidation recommendations to senior stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities**: * Configure and support IBM ILMT bundling, MDM, and Filenet licensing workflows. * Analyse Oracle Java and DB licensing terms; manage usage and entitlement data. * Manage Microsoft licensing (Dynamics, Office, Power Platform); handle bundling, capacity, and compliance. * Conduct audit preparation, remediate findings, and liaise with vendors. * Apply Azure licensing best practices (SQL, PaaS, Savings Plans, UI tagging). * Handle Adobe licensing terms where applicable. * Maintain license inventory, usage reports, and vendor correspondence. * Recommend license renewals, renewals, and optimisation strategies. **Required Skills**: * Proven experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and licensing for IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft. * Hands‑on proficiency with IBM ILMT, MDM, Filenet, and related bundling tools. * Deep knowledge of Oracle Java/DB licensing terms and Microsoft licensing models. * Familiarity with Azure licensing (OST, SQL, Windows, PaaS, ACM, tagging, AHUB, RI, Savings Plans, blob storage). * Demonstrated audit readiness and forensic analysis ability. * Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills. * Ability to work in a hybrid environment (remote with partial office presence). **Required Education & Certifications**: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. * Certifications: SAP, ICA, EA, or equivalent in SAM/licensing preferred. * Valid IBM ILMT, Oracle Licensing, or Microsoft Licensing certifications strongly desired.
