Job Title: Five9 Platform & Integrations Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and support advanced integrations between the Five9 cloud contact center platform and enterprise systems (CRM, data warehouses, workforce management, identity, and analytics). Lead configuration and API development initiatives to enable real‑time, bi‑directional data flows and automated workflows, ensuring accurate, timely contact data and operational reporting.
Expectations:
- Demonstrated, deep hands‑on Five9 experience focused on integration and complex configuration, not just basic agent setup.
- Proven track record of delivering end‑to‑end contact center integrations with CRM ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce) and related systems.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design, authentication, payload mapping, error handling, retry logic, and monitoring.
- Strong contact‑center domain knowledge (call flows, routing, IVR, ACD, operational reporting).
- Ability to moderate requirements workshops, define scope, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Technical escalation owner for integration defects, root‑cause analysis, and coordination with vendors or internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead requirements discovery sessions; translate business needs into Five9 configuration or custom API solutions.
2. Configure Five9 platform, create call flows, routing, IVR, and ACD logic, and document decisions.
3. Design, develop, and troubleshoot API integrations (REST) with enterprise applications, ensuring secure authentication, proper payload handling, and consistent retry patterns.
4. Collaborate with developers or integration middleware teams; maintain documentation for endpoints, payloads, field mappings, and data ownership.
5. Support data extraction and query design for reporting and analytics, ensuring compliance with reporting data models.
6. Serve as technical escalation point for integration issues: data mismatches, latency, failed writes, workflow failures, and contact lifecycle problems.
7. Coordinate release, testing, and production roll‑outs for platform and integration changes.
Required Skills:
- Five9 CCaaS platform – configuration, call flows, IVR, ACD, routing, and reporting data structures.
- API integration – REST patterns, POST/GET, token-based authentication, error handling, retries, monitoring.
- CRM integration – Salesforce or equivalent, data mapping, event‑driven updates.
- Contact‑center operations knowledge – routing, IVR/ACD, call lifecycle, operational metrics.
- Troubleshooting – root‑cause analysis across platform, APIs, and downstream systems.
- Requirements facilitation – workshop facilitation, technical ownership, consultative delivery.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Five9 Certified Administrator or equivalent call‑center platform certification preferred.
- Certifications in REST API development or integration (e.g., Microsoft Azure API Management, MuleSoft, etc.) are a plus.
