**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer, Creative Innovation
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure production pipelines for visual effects (VFX) workflows. Integrate cutting‑edge machine learning tools, support asset management, and enable rapid experimentation across on‑premise, virtual, and cloud environments. Provide technical leadership and mentorship within a fast‑paced creative technology team.
**Expectations:**
- 10+ years of software development experience in VFX, animation, or game production pipelines.
- Strong ownership of end‑to‑end pipeline architecture and reliability.
- Ability to translate research concepts into production‑ready tools.
- Proactive communication with artists, researchers, and production staff.
- Commitment to best practices, security, and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with Creative Technology leads to design solutions for immediate and long‑term VFX workflow needs.
- Integrate and deploy ML models and tools, handling training, fine‑tuning, and production optimization.
- Prototype, iterate, and evaluate new pipeline components and technology investments.
- Build and maintain scalable pipelines for image/video transfer across local, virtual, and cloud platforms.
- Define integration requirements for creative applications, asset management, and tracking systems (e.g., Flow).
- Develop modular, user‑friendly systems that support rapid experimentation and tool integration.
- Document processes, workflows, and technical designs for artist and stakeholder adoption.
- Break down complex technical challenges into actionable tasks and guide team execution.
- Mentor team members, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in software and ML development practices.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in computer graphics, machine learning, and pipeline architecture.
- Proven experience deploying ML models in production (training, optimization, inference).
- Strong knowledge of Service‑Oriented Architecture, REST/RPC, message queues, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency with task orchestration frameworks and automation of complex workflows.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard creative software, VFX pipelines, and asset management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Quick learner, adaptable, and resource‑ful in a boutique, fast‑moving environment.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred but not mandatory).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
