Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary
Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and tooling that enable rapid, reliable delivery of application code across public cloud platforms. Drive operational excellence, scalability, and automation for the company’s platform services.
Expectations
- Deliver high‑availability, scalable systems that support continuous delivery cycles.
- Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
- Collaborate closely with software teams to improve quality, speed, and reliability.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for complex production incidents.
- Contribute to cost‑optimization, monitoring, and documentation best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on Kubernetes across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins/Argo CD, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent).
- Manage relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Automate routine operations and configuration management.
- Write and maintain clear, version‑controlled documentation.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response.
- Mentor developers on infrastructure best practices and self‑service tooling.
Required Skills
- 3+ years DevOps, SRE, or software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming/scripting language (Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Bash).
- Deep knowledge of public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container registries.
- Strong background in CI/CD tooling and automation frameworks.
- Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and document (Cosmos DB, MongoDB) databases.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are desirable but not mandatory.
