Regional Human Resources Manager / HR Business Partner (12‑Month Contract)
**Role Summary**
Provide strategic HR leadership across Eastern or Western Canada, driving talent development, employee life‑cycle management, and people solutions that align with business objectives. Coach senior and field leaders, mentor managers, and partner with operations to execute HR cycles, succession planning, and policy implementation.
**Expectations**
- Deliver business‑centric coaching to enable KPI attainment.
- Ensure compliance with provincial labour laws and corporate policies.
- Resolve employee relations matters, from investigation to dismissal, consistently across regions.
- Drive recruitment of salaried roles, assess competencies, and support final hiring decisions.
- Execute cyclical HR processes (compensation, talent review, performance).
- Promote high‑impact talent acquisition, learning, and total rewards initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Consult and coach senior leaders on people strategies, design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Investigate and manage employee relations issues, providing counseling, progressive discipline, and documentation support.
- Partner with regional managers on high‑risk or complex HR matters, ensuring consistent application of discipline processes.
- Participate in interview panels, identify core competencies, and influence final management‑level hiring decisions.
- Execute HR cycles in partnership with COEs: compensation, talent review, performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with COEs to deliver talent acquisition, learning & development, and rewards programs that support retention and attraction.
- Apply knowledge of provincial legislation, labour standards, and multi‑unit organizational structures to all HR activities.
**Required Skills**
- Strong coaching, counseling, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication, influence, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and strong technical aptitude.
- Hands‑on training and learning‑development capabilities.
- Deep understanding of provincial legislation and labour standards.
- Ability to assess organisational fit and core competencies during recruitment.
- Experience interpreting and enforcing HR policies across multi‑unit environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Post‑secondary degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent education combined with work experience.
- CHRL or CHRP designation preferred (asset).
- 5 + years HR generalist experience in multi‑unit, large‑scale organizations.
- 2–5 years experience in employee relations, ideally within hospitality or comparable sectors.
