**Job Title**
Senior IT Project Manager – eHealth
**Role Summary**
Lead and manage complex digital health projects for the Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services, Alberta. Oversee project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with ministry priorities, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory standards. Provide senior-level reporting, governance, and risk management to executive leadership.
**Expectations**
- 8+ years of overall IT project management experience, including 5+ years in healthcare portfolio or similar complexity.
- 5+ years leading change management for large custom software initiatives.
- 3+ years of data integration experience between clinical applications within the Canadian eHealth environment.
- Proven ability to develop project charters, roadmaps, governance structures, and business cases.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, cross‑functional team leadership, and executive communication.
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residence, or valid work authorization with incorporation in Canada required.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop integrated project plans, charters, schedules, and governance frameworks.
- Lead risk, issue, and change management activities; maintain project dashboards and reporting.
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement across public users, internal business areas, and external partners.
- Produce high‑quality documentation (briefing notes, business cases, governance records).
- Oversee data integration between clinical applications and support system modernization, identity & access management, and digital health service delivery initiatives.
- Manage budgets, resources, and contracts to meet scope, time, and cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta health regulations and provincial policies.
- Support strategic planning and decision‑making through analytical problem solving.
**Required Skills**
- Project Management (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
- Healthcare IT project experience (digital health, eHealth, clinical systems).
- Change management expertise (Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent).
- Stakeholder & executive communication, negotiation, and influence.
- Cross‑functional team leadership and collaboration.
- Data integration and interoperability (clinical applications, eHealth standards).
- Governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Strategic planning, roadmapping, and business case development.
- Analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Familiarity with Alberta health system, regulatory environment, and public sector procurement.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification (required).
- Prosci Change Management or equivalent certification (preferred).
