Data Project Manager (H/F)
Role Summary
Lead the design, integration, and delivery of a data platform supporting e‑business and digital marketing reporting. Coordinate cross‑functional squads to align user requirements, architecture, governance, and security, ensuring high‑quality, consistent data reach production on schedule.
Expactations
- Deliver a scalable data architecture that supports ingestion, processing, governance, and exposure (APIs, dashboards).
- Embed data governance, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements throughout the platform life cycle.
- Manage end‑to‑end project delivery, from scoping to go‑live, while maintaining agile practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document user needs and use cases.
- Design overall data architecture (data lake, warehouse, mesh) and propose cost‑effective solutions.
- Integrate data governance, compliance, and cyber security controls.
- Pilot, monitor, and deliver projects from design to production, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Own and maintain the data backlog; prioritize features and bug fixes.
- Track progress and deliverables using internal tools (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and squads to ensure alignment.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of data platform components: ingestion, processing, governance, and exposure (APIs, dataviz).
- Experience with ETL/ELT, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mesh concepts.
- Proficiency with Teradata, SQL Server, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DataOps, and data visualization tools.
- Agile methodology expertise (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban); ability to manage and facilitate agile ceremonies.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, coordination, and backlog management.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in data platforms or cloud (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Big Data Specialty) and at least one Agile certification (SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master) are preferred.
