Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer
Role Summary
Lead end‑to‑end Salesforce development, designing and delivering scalable, high‑performance solutions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical designs, mentor staff, and enforce best practices in code quality, security, and automation.
Expectations
- Obtain and maintain U.S. Federal Public Trust clearance.
- Deliver reusable Apex, Lightning Web Components, and REST APIs that meet performance and scalability standards.
- Guide and coach a team of Salesforce developers, participate in hiring, and drive professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and performance benchmarks.
- Build and maintain data models, custom objects, fields, and relationships; optimize SOQL queries and cache usage.
- Develop Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages to enhance user experience.
- Create and manage Comado CI/CD pipelines and follow Copado best practices.
- Implement REST API integrations with external systems.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests; conduct code reviews and enforce quality gates.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, demos, retrospectives, sprint planning) and SAFe practices.
- Document technical designs, processes, and solution architectures for knowledge transfer.
- Lead automation initiatives, reducing manual configuration via Apex, RPA, and other tools.
- Provide on‑call support, troubleshoot platform issues, and mentor junior developers.
- Liaise with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and technical dependencies.
- Stay abreast of Salesforce releases, features, and roadmaps; assess compatibility and recommend upgrades.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of Salesforce development and engineering experience (Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL).
- Proficiency in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with Copado CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design patterns and Salesforce data modeling.
- Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with security, DevSecOps, Agile, and SAFe methodologies.
- Proficient in Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and call‑center configuration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; presentation skills.
- Proven leadership: team coaching, mentoring, and personnel management.
- Knowledge of multi‑cloud AWS architecture and civic/government contracting is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline *or* equivalent experience.
- Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or Platform App Builder.
- Copado Fundamentals I (Copado Fundamentals II is a plus).
- Active Trailhead account.
- Ability to live in the U.S. and obtain Public Trust clearance.
