Job Description
**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Coordinator **Role Summary:** Oversees quality assurance processes in a production environment, ensuring compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Focuses on training, monitoring deviations, and maintaining documentation to uphold product and process integrity. **Expectations:** - Accurate completion and timely distribution of reports/spreadsheets. - Adherence to scheduled equipment calibrations, sampling, and audits. - Immediate corrective actions to resolve quality or compliance issues. - Proficiency in GMPs, SOPs, and quality assurance protocols. - Collaboration with cross-functional teams to address deviations and supplier concerns. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct product/environmental sampling, walkthroughs, and audits. - Monitor and enforce compliance with GMPs, SOPs, and standard operating procedures. - Provide employee training on quality requirements and SOP programs. - Maintain documentation (SOP books, material specifications, supplier records) in Trace Gains system. - Execute quality hold/release functions for raw ingredients and finished products. - Investigate deviations, implement corrective actions, and document findings. - Collaborate with corporate QA to update supplier/ingredient protocols. - Report and escalate potential food safety risks to management. **Required Skills:** - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. - Proficiency in GMPs, SOPs, and quality assurance methodologies. - Communication skills for training and issue escalation. - Problem-solving to address process deviations and corrective actions. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate’s degree in relevant field or equivalent education/experience. - Minimum 2 years’ quality assurance or production experience preferred. - Certifications: HACCP (preferred), SQF Practitioner (preferred).
