Job Description

**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Operations Intern **Role Summary:** Entry‑level intern responsible for day‑to‑day operation of security tools, detection, investigation, and remediation of security incidents within an enterprise network. Works with a small team to maintain and enhance cyber‑defense capabilities while communicating findings to management. **Expectations:** - Demonstrate a proactive, hands‑on approach to learning information security operations. - Follow established processes and contribute to improvement initiatives. - Communicate clearly in written and oral formats with supervisors and team members. - Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and monitor existing security tools and processes. - Evaluate, test, and assist in implementing new security technologies. - Respond to and triage computer security incidents. - Analyze system and network logs, alerts, and related data to investigate incidents. - Identify gaps in cyber‑operations capabilities and support capability development. - Prepare concise technical summaries and present findings to management. - Collaborate with a small team on task planning, status updates, and results delivery. **Required Skills:** - Fundamental understanding of IT infrastructure and security concepts. - Basic experience with security monitoring tools, log analysis, or incident response. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Detail‑oriented with good organizational habits. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High School diploma (or equivalent). - Minimum of 2 years of college coursework in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, **or** equivalent practical experience. - No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or hands‑on exposure to IT tools is preferred.
