**Job Title:** Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:** Design, scale, and secure ultra‑reliable, low‑latency backend infrastructure for Web3 applications, processing millions of on‑chain events with high throughput and maximum resiliency.
**Expectations:** Deliver end‑to‑end cloud‑native architecture, maintain near‑zero uptime, automate CI/CD pipelines, build internal tooling for developer productivity, collaborate with backend, trading, and on‑chain teams, and uphold security, performance, and cost efficiency best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and optimize AWS or GCP infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts, and EKS/GKE deployments.
- Implement resilience patterns: autoscaling, HPA, service mesh, high availability; design incident‑response workflows for automated monitoring.
- Manage observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry) to ensure metrics, logging, and tracing cover all mission‑critical services.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or Tekton; automate deployments, tests, migrations, and rollouts.
- Create internal tooling to accelerate backend developer workflows and standardize staging/production environments.
- Contribute to backend services in Go, Rust, or TypeScript; collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Ensure secure environment via IAM, Vault, KMS, and secrets management; monitor cost and performance metrics continuously.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficient in Go, Rust, TypeScript, or Python.
- Deep experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- Kubernetes, Helm, Karpenter, EKS/GKE, and IaC tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, Crossplane).
- Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.
- CI/CD automation: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Tekton.
- Security fundamentals: IAM, Vault, KMS, secret management.
- Web3 / On‑chain expertise (strong plus): Solana, Anchor, RPC node architecture, indexers, high‑frequency real‑time blockchain systems.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and automation mindset.
- Proven ownership in fast‑paced, high‑performance technical environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are preferred but not mandatory.
