Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Hands‑on DevOps leader responsible for designing, scaling, and operating cloud‑native infrastructure for a rapidly growing deep‑tech startup. Sets engineering standards, owns CI/CD and release engineering, mentors staff, and drives platform resilience and velocity through modern tooling and practices.
Expectations:
- 8+ years in Software/DevOps with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, CI/CD, and cloud IaC.
- Proven startup mindset: thrives in ambiguity, rapid iteration, and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale production‑grade infrastructure for millions of users.
- Strong scripting (Bash, Python) and Linux performance tuning knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and secure scalable, high‑performance cloud‑native infrastructure.
- Own, optimize, and expand CI/CD pipelines and release engineering.
- Define DevOps standards, mentor engineers, and champion best practices.
- Introduce modern tools to increase engineering velocity and platform resilience.
- Deliver a pragmatic DevOps roadmap within the first 6 months.
- Support production deployments and participate in on‑call rotation as required.
Required Skills:
- Kubernetes: design, deploy, and operate large‑scale clusters.
- CI/CD: expert in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins pipelines.
- Containers: advanced Docker usage and orchestration patterns.
- Cloud & IaC: AWS, GCP, or Azure experience plus Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, alerting, and SLO‑driven operations.
- Security: DevSecOps best practices, least‑privilege architecture, secrets management.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, Git workflow (PRs, trunk‑based/GitFlow).
- Optional: GPU driver experience (NVIDIA/AMD) or other performance‑sensitive systems.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred but not mandatory.
