Job Description
Job title: DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid application delivery for a mission‑critical travel platform. Expectations: - 4–6 years of full‑stack DevOps experience with cloud, containerization, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and security practices. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents under time pressure. - Collaboration with cross‑functional teams (development, QA, product, design). - Continuous improvement mindset; propose and implement innovative automation and cost‑optimization solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Provision and manage cloud resources (compute, storage, database) on AWS, GCP, or Azure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). - Build and maintain Docker images; orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and scalability. - Design and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions) with automated testing and versioning. - Implement monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) to guarantee 99.9% uptime and rapid incident response. - Enforce infrastructure security: secrets management, firewall and VPN configuration, compliance alignment, and vulnerability scanning. - Conduct capacity planning, cost analysis, and performance tuning of cloud environments. - Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, or similar to streamline operations and reduce manual effort. - Document processes, architecture diagrams, and runbooks for knowledge transfer and audit readiness. Required Skills: - Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery), Azure. - Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (cluster scaling, Helm, RBAC). - CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions. - IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible. - Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog. - Security: secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault), VPN, firewall, compliance frameworks. - Scripting: Python, Bash, or equivalent. - Soft Skills: problem solving, collaboration, adaptability, attention to detail, written and verbal communication.
