Job Description
**Job title:** Conflicts Analyst **Role Summary:** Provide expert conflict of interest analysis and management for a global law firm, supporting the Conflicts team, General Counsel, and senior Risk & Compliance leadership. Deliver timely conflict checks, escalations, and record maintenance while ensuring strict adherence to SRA Standards, Money Laundering Regulations, and other regulatory frameworks. **Expectations:** - Review all new and existing client engagements for potential conflicts of interest. - Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to senior analysts and managers. - Maintain accurate, confidential records in both paper and electronic formats. - Deliver work within tight deadlines while supporting multiple stakeholders. - Demonstrate proactive communication, independence, and teamwork. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive conflict checks for all client and matter entries. - Escalate unresolved or complex conflict issues to appropriate leadership for resolution. - Ensure compliance with SRA conflict rules and Money Laundering regulations. - File and maintain client/matter records to high standards. - Assist with opening and updating client and matter files. - Provide general administrative support to the Conflicts and Risk & Compliance teams. - Liaise professionally with internal departments and stakeholders. - Protect confidentiality of sensitive or commercial information. - Work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 6 months experience in risk and compliance, preferably within a law firm. - Proven experience managing conflicts of interest. - Strong knowledge of SRA Standards, Money Laundering Regulations, and regulatory guidance. - Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability. - Effective time‑management and workload prioritisation. - Clear communication skills at all levels; ability to build relationships with partners and key stakeholders. - Resilience, calmness under pressure, and adaptability. - Proactive, initiative‑driven, and collaborative mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet browsing. - Experience with Intapp (highly desirable). - Understanding of Document Management Systems and record‑keeping best practices. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, business, finance, or related field. - Professional certification in compliance, risk management, or a relevant legal discipline preferred (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, ACC).
