Job Title: Director, IT Projects
Role Summary: Leads high‑priority, cross‑functional technology initiatives for the CIO, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with governance, security, and operational standards across business applications, infrastructure, cloud, and SaaS environments.
Expactations: Demonstrate exceptional organizational discipline, rapid technical learning, and influence across business and technical stakeholders to drive clarity, structure, and momentum in fast‑paced enterprise settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy as project leader for cross‑functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Own end‑to‑end project lifecycle from discovery to deployment, ensuring accountability and alignment.
- Conduct business analysis, document requirements, workflows, dependencies, and use cases.
- Translate needs into structured plans, specifications, and functional documentation.
- Support IT planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
- Coordinate RFP processes, system evaluations, and vendor selections.
- Collaborate with Architecture Review Board and InfoSec to maintain compliance.
- Lead process improvement, automation, and analytics initiatives.
- Document progress via RAID logs, readouts, and action trackers.
- Manage meetings, follow‑ups, risk tracking, and task assignments.
- Develop SOPs, documentation, operational checklists, and training materials.
- Support organizational readiness, user adoption, communication plans, and training.
- Serve as escalation point for critical technical issues, coordinating resolution.
- Monitor technology and industry trends for operational improvements.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional tech initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Rapid learning of new technical domains and translation into structured plans.
- Strong analytical, documentation, workflow mapping, and meeting management skills.
- Deep understanding of networks, cloud, InfoSec, sporting tech, and enterprise applications.
- Vendor management, contract oversight, and performance tracking expertise.
- Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and enterprise reporting.
- Exemplary organizational and communication skills; influence and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading change‑management and user‑adoption programs.
- Proficiency in Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, Slack, or similar tools.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years managing technology projects or programs across multiple IT disciplines.
- Project management certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum) preferred.
