Job Description
**Job Title** Field Systems & Network Administrator (F/M) **Role Summary** The Field Systems & Network Administrator delivers on‑site infrastructure administration, tasking with maintaining client servers, virtual environments, network components, and workstation hardware/software. The role supports technical troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with cross‑functional client teams. **Expectations** - Minimum 2 years of hands‑on systems & network administration. - Strong client‑facing communication, organized, proactive, and cheerful. - Ability to travel to client sites for installations, maintenance, and support. **Key Responsibilities** - Maintain operational status of client IT infrastructure (physical & virtual servers). - Install, configure, and update Windows Server 2016‑2025 and client OS (Windows 10/11). - Administer VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments, ensuring resource availability and performance. - Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, AD‑FS, print services, and RDS. - Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams). - Deploy and manage backup solutions (Veeam Backup & Replication). - Configure and administer network equipment (firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi access points). - Implement network security policies: firewall rules, VPN (IPSec, SSL/TLS), VLANs, and WAN routing. - Maintain and troubleshoot client desktops and peripherals; install OS, drivers, and applications. - Provide first‑line technical support onsite and via remote tools. - Produce and update technical documentation for client environments. - Coordinate with IT, Telecommunication, and Print teams for integrated service delivery. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in virtualized platforms: VMware ESXi/ vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V. - Deep knowledge of Windows Server (2016‑2025) and Windows 10/11 clients. - Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, AD‑FS, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. - Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and hyper‑converged infrastructure (DataCore, Simplivity). - Hands‑on networking: LAN/WAN, routing, IP‑sec & SSL VPN, VLAN configuration. - Familiarity with firewall technologies (WatchGuard, StormShield, Fortinet). - Ability to write clear technical documentation and provide concise client support. - Strong verbal communication and customer‑service orientation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum of a 2‑year technical diploma (DUT, BTS, or equivalent professional license). - Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) preferred. - Network security certifications (WatchGuard, StormShield, Fortinet) considered an asset.
