Job Description
Job Title: Director, Sales Operations Role Summary: Lead commercial execution for field sales of a late‑stage investigational cardiometabolic siRNA therapy. Translate commercial strategy into actionable plans, targets, and incentive structures to drive high‑performance sales teams. Expectations: • Deliver end‑to‑end sales operations support, from territory planning to compensation design. • Ensure data integrity, CRM optimization, and budget control. • Communicate key performance metrics to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Build, train, and evaluate field sales teams for performance and compliance. • Design and manage national/regional sales targets, territory mapping, and workload calculations. • Develop, implement, and adjust sales compensation plans and incentive programs. • Collaborate with IT to maintain customer master data, optimize sales planning data sources, and improve CRM processes. • Manage commercial operations budget, vendor relationships, and logistics support for the field. • Define, track, and report business KPIs to stakeholders, partnering with analytics to refine metrics. Required Skills: • Proven leadership and team‑building abilities. • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills. • Expertise in sales data management, forecasting, analytics, and CRM systems. • Ability to operate within a matrixed, cross‑functional environment with excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences. • Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial experience in biotech or pharma, including 5 years in pharmaceutical data/sales operations (brand management, sales ops, analytics, forecasting). • Deep understanding of the life sciences industry and sales compensation design.
