Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Analyst – Operations Analytics **Role Summary:** Drive insights and data strategy for Trust & Safety initiatives, translating ambiguous business challenges into actionable analytical solutions. Partner with leadership, build metrics, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure to measure program health, fraud mitigation, and operational performance. **Expectations:** - 4+ years of cross‑functional analytical experience with complex data sets. - Independently translate stakeholder inquiries into clear analytical requirements. - Present concise, data‑driven narratives to senior leaders. - Own end‑to‑end analytics support for account safety and fraud programs. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Define and monitor strategy for Trust & Safety program metrics, establishing reporting cadence. 2. Conduct deep analyses of operational metrics to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities. 3. Build and maintain core reporting abstractions in DBT, ensuring data integrity. 4. Develop and present executive‑level reports on findings and recommended actions. 5. Collaborate with Account Safety to track fraud indicators and propose mitigation tactics. 6. Serve as a strategic advisor on investment decisions and optimization within Trust & Safety. **Required Skills:** - Advanced SQL proficiency (code review and development). - Experience building data abstractions with DBT or Airflow. - Proficiency in data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, Periscope, etc.). - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to create clear, concise narratives. - Analytical mindset: translate vague problems into precise data questions. - Comfortable working with large, heterogeneous data sets. **Nice to Have:** - Python or R programming. - Experience with customer service ticket data (e.g., Zendesk). - A/B testing and experimental design skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s degree preferred. - Applied statistics experience or equivalent.
