Job Description
Job Title: Product Analyst Role Summary: Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver data‑driven insights and drive product performance in a two‑sided marketplace. Own the experimentation lifecycle, analyze marketplace metrics, and communicate actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders. Expectations: - Minimum 4 years of business analytics experience. - Proven track record of influencing product strategy through data‑informed decisions. - Experience owning A/B testing and experimentation from hypothesis to statistical analysis. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences. - Ability to independently perform root‑cause analysis using SQL and BI tools. - Preferred: background in two‑sided marketplaces, familiarity with Python/R, Amazon Redshift, DBT, Statsig, Amplitude. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with product and design teams to support hypothesis‑driven problem solving. - Conduct full experimentation lifecycle: design, run, analyze, and report on A/B tests. - Perform statistical analysis and develop experimental designs to evaluate feature impact. - Analyze marketplace performance, identify trends, root causes, and propose actions to improve metrics. - Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and product organization. - Build and maintain clear data narratives for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Coordinate with developers, analysts, product managers, and operators to embed analytics in product development. - Continuously improve ROI and decision‑making frameworks with qualitative and quantitative measures. Required Skills: - SQL expertise for data extraction and analysis. - Proficiency with BI visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.). - Strong statistical analysis and experimentation design skills. - Effective storytelling: translating data into clear, actionable insights. - Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management. - Ability to work independently and as an embedded partner across teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field (master’s preferred). - No specific certifications required; data‑analysis or analytics certifications are a plus.
