Job Description
Job title: Business Intelligence Developer Role Summary: Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights for business stakeholders. Collaborate with data engineers and subject‑matter experts to transform raw data into user‑friendly visualizations using Tableau, and to design SQL‑based data transformations that support ongoing reporting needs. Expectations: Deliver a robust, self‑service reporting suite within a 12‑month maternity‑leave coverage contract; provide continuous improvement, training, and documentation; work independently and collaboratively to meet stakeholder requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and support Tableau dashboards, ensuring intuitive UI and scalable architecture. - Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, consolidate, and manipulate data from relational sources. - Build data transformations and ingestion pipelines to feed BI dashboards and decision‑support tools. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical specifications. - Recommend and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency. - Provide end‑user training and support for BI tools and data sources. Required Skills: - Proven experience developing Tableau, Looker, or Power BI dashboards. - Advanced SQL proficiency for querying relational databases. - Strong Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas). - Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present technical concepts clearly. - Self‑motivated, collaborative mindset with problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field preferred (not explicitly required in posting).
