Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer / Architect Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and maturation of cybersecurity strategies, architectures, and operations to establish and strengthen organizational security postures from the ground up. Serve as a local subject matter expert while collaborating with global IT security teams to align frameworks and drive compliance. Expectations: - 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, or operations. - Experience building/maturing security practices in fast-paced, multi-brand, or expanding environments. - Hands-on technical experience with security tools and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement secure infrastructure for enterprise, cloud, and retail systems. - Define and enforce security governance, risk frameworks, and compliance standards. - Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, MFA, PAM). - Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, compliance reviews, and breach simulations. - Develop security awareness programs, remediation plans, and disaster recovery strategies. - Document operational processes (runbooks, playbooks) and align with global security frameworks. Required Skills: - Proficiency in cloud, endpoint, and network security (AWS, Azure, hybrid environments). - Experience with endpoint detection, identity management, access control, and vulnerability management. - Familiarity with SIEM (Splunk), EDR (CrowdStrike), DLP, and compliance frameworks (PIPEDA, Bill 25, PCI-DSS, CIS). - Strong knowledge of technical security architecture, incident response, and patching workflows.
