Job Description
**Job title** Retail Designer **Role Summary** Lead the design, development, and deployment of permanent and semi‑permanent retail spaces for high‑end brands (Jimmy Choo, Off‑White, Rocas, Kate Spade, Karl Lagerfeld). Drive the evolution of merchandising tools, optimize in‑store customer journeys, and ensure cohesive brand identity across international markets. **Expectations** Deliver innovative, scalable retail solutions that support rapid brand growth and align with marketing strategy while maintaining operational excellence and sustainability standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and refine permanent and temporary retail merchandise tools, ensuring flexibility for evolving product lines. - Optimize store layouts and zoning for diverse space typologies to enhance customer flow and product visibility. - Create furniture, fixtures, and POSM (point‑of‑sale materials) that articulate brand narratives and showcase new collections. - Develop production‑ready specifications, select materials, and manage sample coordination. - Oversee market‑specific adaptations using the retail platform: propose layouts, correct technical plans, and monitor construction and post‑installation. - Coordinate closely with marketing, export, regional, and subsidiary teams to align on project schedules and deliverables. - Produce regular status reports, conduct internal briefings, and maintain competitive intelligence on retail trends. - Contribute to cross‑department projects and prepare semi‑annual reports on the state of permanent retail spaces. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in 3D CAD (Rhino, Vray), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and AutoCAD. - Understanding of furniture production and in‑store equipment technologies. - Strong project management, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and bilingual English (written & spoken). - Ability to produce clear visual presentations and detailed technical documentation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (BAC+3) to Master’s (BAC+5) degree in Design, Architecture, Applied Arts, or related field. - 4–5 years of professional experience in luxury retail, ideally in perfumes and cosmetics. - Demonstrated experience with international retail deployments and sustainability‑compliant sourcing.
