Job title: Principal Fuel Systems Engineer (R3300) (Remote) Role Summary: Lead the architecture, design, and validation of fuel systems for next‑generation AI‑powered aircraft, managing the full development lifecycle from concept through flight testing while mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team. Expactations: • U.S. citizenship required. • Travel up to 25% of time, flexible work arrangement. • 12–15+ years of relevant experience. • Proven record of leading complex fuel system programs. Key Responsibilities: • Architect end‑to‑end fuel systems (storage, transfer, venting, pressurization). • Integrate propulsion, structures, avionics, and thermal subsystems to optimize performance. • Conduct system‑level modeling and analysis (CFD, thermodynamics, slosh dynamics). • Define performance specifications and verification strategies. • Lead design reviews, trade studies, risk assessments. • Oversee supplier selection, qualification, and acceptance testing. • Support ground and flight test campaigns; perform root‑cause analysis. • Mentor engineers, establish best practices, develop integration and testing processes. • Contribute to long‑term technology roadmaps, including hybrid‑electric and alternative fuel architectures.
