Job Description
Job title: Conference & Events Assistant – Internship Role Summary: Internship providing support for food & beverage and event operations in a hospitality setting. Works part‑time (6‑16 hrs weekly) around study schedule, gaining hands‑on experience in service delivery, room set‑up, cleaning, and customer satisfaction. Expectations: • Must reside in the UK and be eligible to work without sponsorship. • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and willingness to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends. • Show professionalism, a positive attitude and a client‑focused approach. • Adhere to all health & safety, hygiene and uniform standards. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver timely food and beverage service to meeting rooms and restaurant areas. - Prepare, present and replenish food service items; assist with washing up and equipment cleaning. - Set up and arrange meeting rooms to client specifications and company standards before events. - Maintain cleanliness of meeting rooms, staff offices and common areas; perform deep‑cleaning duties as scheduled. - Manage stock levels for food, beverages and cleaning supplies under supervision. - Sign off on cleaning schedules and maintain accurate logs. - Attend staff briefings, company events and weekend duties as required. - Support any ad‑hoc requests from venue or venue team. Required Skills: - Strong customer service skills with a friendly, polite demeanor. - Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently. - Basic kitchen and food hygiene knowledge. - Organizational and time‑management abilities. - Communication skills suitable for a team environment. - Familiarity with health & safety regulations. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently enrolled in a UK educational programme (degree, diploma or related study). - No specific certifications required; willingness to complete company training programmes. ---
