Job Description

**Job Title:** Network Engineer **Role Summary:** Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the organization’s high‑availability LAN, WAN, and VPN networks to ensure secure, reliable data flow for internal and external stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Deliver prompt resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity incidents. - Uphold network performance, security, and compliance standards. - Provide accurate documentation and collaborate with cross‑functional and senior engineering teams. - Participate in on‑call rotations and after‑hours support as required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Troubleshoot and resolve network issues (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers). - Configure, monitor, maintain, and support LAN, WAN, VPN environments. - Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests via ticketing and monitoring tools. - Keep diagrams, configurations, and procedures current. - Collaborate on implementation of new technologies to enhance efficiency. - Participate in on‑call rotations and emergency troubleshooting. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, and related protocols. - Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent hardware and CLI. - Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Desired certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar. - Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and scripting (Python, Bash) is a plus. Travel may be required.
