Job Description
**Job title** Automation Engineer **Role Summary** Design, program, and implement automated systems for industrial machinery. Lead project phases from requirements capture to commissioning, ensuring technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines are met. **Expectations** - Deliver complete automation solutions that comply with industry safety regulations. - Manage cross‑functional communication with suppliers, R&D, and support teams. - Travel as needed within France, Europe, and the United States (≤2 weeks per assignment). **Key Responsibilities** - Gather and document customer/engineering requirements; produce functional specifications. - Design automation architecture and create detailed electrical schematics. - Program PLCs/robotic controllers and supervise testing and startup procedures. - Monitor project progress, maintain schedules, and report on milestones. - Negotiate with suppliers for components, services, and pricing. - Conduct user training and support post‑implementation, collaborating with R&D and maintenance. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in industrial automation design and PLC/robot programming. - Proficiency in drafting electrical schematics and selecting components. - Knowledge of machinery safety standards (IEC, ISO 13849, ISO 12100). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills. - Proactive and able to drive initiatives forward. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field. - Certification in PLC programming or industrial automation (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, FANUC) is an advantage. ---
