Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Senior software engineer delivering high‑quality, production‑ready code in a cloud‑first, agile environment. Expertise in Java (Spring), Python, JavaScript/Vue.js, and optional TypeScript; understanding of legacy PHP. Works closely with product, operations and data teams to design scalable, efficient solutions on AWS. Expectations: Produce maintainable, well‑tested code, actively participate in sprint planning and reviews, communicate blockers clearly, mentor junior developers, and adhere to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend and frontend issues. - Design, implement, and refactor features across Java, Python, Vue.js/TypeScript codebases. - Write unit, integration and performance tests; drive quality improvements. - Maintain and optimize database schemas and queries. - Participate in architecture reviews and scalability discussions. - Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews. - Collaborate with non‑technical stakeholders to define requirements and manage expectations. - Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and monitoring. Required Skills: - Strong command of Java (Spring) and Python. - Proficiency in JavaScript with Vue.js; experience with TypeScript is a plus. - Familiarity with AWS services and cloud‑native deployment. - Experience with CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and performance tuning. - Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, caching, and message queues. - Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and design principles. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. - Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Developer, Java SE, or equivalent.
