Job Title: Senior Unit Testing Engineer (SDET)
Job Description: Job title: Senior Unit Testing Engineer (SDET) Role Summary: Lead design and implementation of unit test suites for enterprise Java, .NET, and Spring Boot applications, ensuring robust code quality and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Expectations: • 8–10 years of professional software/unit testing experience. • Proven ability to write comprehensive unit tests for microservices and APIs. • Strong collaboration with development and DevOps teams to embed testing early in the SDLC. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop unit tests using JUnit, TestNG, xUnit, NUnit, and corresponding mocking frameworks (Mockito, Moq). - Validate Kafka message flows and microservice interactions through unit tests. - Ensure unit-level coverage for REST and SOAP APIs. - Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines with Git source control. - Analyze test failures, debug issues, and conduct root‑cause analysis. - Contribute to code quality initiatives using SonarQube, Codacy, or similar tools. - Mentor junior testers and promote test‑driven development practices. Required Skills: - Deep knowledge of Java, .NET, Spring Boot, Kafka, and microservices architecture. - Expertise in unit testing frameworks and mocking libraries (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, xUnit, NUnit, Moq). - Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps and Git. - Agile methodology experience and collaborative mindset. - Bonus: Docker/Kubernetes, TOSCA, qTest, or open‑source contribution experience.
