**Job Title:** Application Engineer – Corporate Services Technology
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and support enterprise‑grade integrations centered on Workday, connecting people data to key downstream systems such as payroll, compliance, legal, facilities, asset protection, and analytics platforms. Act as a technical steward of the workday‑centric integration landscape, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with corporate technology standards.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 years delivering and supporting complex enterprise integrations.
- Proven ability to perform root‑cause analysis on “break‑fix” tickets and to build robust error‑handling and monitoring (including self‑healing or proactive notifications).
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Manage the full lifecycle of integrations, including design, build, regression testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Own end‑to‑end design, build, development, and support of Workday integrations.
2. Ensure accurate data connectivity of People & Compensation data to internal systems and approved third‑party vendors.
3. Define and enforce reusable integration patterns, canonical data models, error handling, monitoring, and resilience standards.
4. Collaborate with Architecture & Technology teams on enterprise standards and cross‑domain patterns.
5. Lead the transition to event‑driven and API‑first architecture across the corporate stack.
6. Build and maintain self‑service integration capabilities for the broader technology organization.
7. Automate testing, deployment, and monitoring to reduce incident response times.
8. Participate in shared on‑call rotation and support model.
9. Engage in global and cross‑functional projects to ensure seamless system integration across regions and functions.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep experience with Workday integration tools: Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, pre‑built templates.
- Proficiency in Workday Studio (Eclipse‑based IDE) for complex, high‑volume, logic‑heavy scenarios.
- Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, XPath, SOAP/REST/WS APIs, CSV, Fixed‑Width, and JSON handling.
- Ability to create calculated fields and business logic within Workday.
- Mastery of Workday security fundamentals: ISUs, ISSGs, domain permissions.
- Competence in regression testing during Workday major releases (R1, R2).
- Skilled in root‑cause analysis, error handling, monitoring, and proactive notification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise integrations in complex corporate environments.
- Workday integration certifications (optional but preferred).
