Job title: Customer Insights Analyst
Role Summary:
Drive data‑driven loyalty and customer experience strategies by analyzing transaction, behavior, and program data to uncover growth opportunities, segment customers, and personalize offers. Serve as the primary reporting and insight expert for loyalty, digital marketing, and cross‑functional teams, creating dashboards, interpreting results, and informing future strategy.
Expectations:
- Deliver actionable insights that increase member value and retention.
- Build, maintain, and scale the customer lifecycle journey and loyalty offer calendar.
- Integrate loyalty initiatives with broader marketing efforts and support cross‑functional execution.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute loyalty strategy, including offer creation, retention plans, and member value initiatives.
- Create dashboards from disparate data sources, interpret results, and shape future strategy.
- Use SQL, Power BI, Klaviyo, and Talon.One to derive insights and recommend actions.
- Analyze customer behavior, transaction data, and program performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Segment customers and personalize loyalty offers based on insights.
- Develop and manage the loyalty offer calendar, including retention and campaign promotions.
- Ensure loyalty initiatives align with broader marketing and operations goals.
- Collaborate with IT, data infrastructure, marketing, and operations for flawless strategy execution.
- Generate actionable consumer insights through analytics, surveys, and market research.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and emerging threats.
- Maintain internal communication channels with up‑to‑date reports and dashboards for cross‑functional teams.
- Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Strong SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to create data visualizations and interpret sales performance data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven project management skills: oversee multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Technological literacy and experience with data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of loyalty, CRM, CDP, and digital marketing strategies (asset).
- Understanding of retail and/or franchising environments (asset).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- 2‑5 years of experience developing and executing data‑driven loyalty, CRM, CDP, or digital marketing strategies.
