Job title: Data Science Intern, Summer 2026
Role Summary
Participate in the MarTech Data Science team to design, develop, and deploy scalable data science and engineering solutions for media and incentives products. Work on cross‑functional projects and departmental tasks, building data pipelines, deploying machine learning models, and creating actionable analytics.
Expectations
- Deliver high‑quality, reusable components for data transformation, feature extraction, and model deployment.
- Provide analytical solutions that translate business problems into deployable models.
- Demonstrate independent problem‑solving using enterprise AI and cloud tools.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modular data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (or comparable cloud).
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
- Create ad‑hoc analytics solutions and identify recurring themes to propose new data products.
- Collaborate with data engineering, BI, product, and analytics teams on model design and deployment.
- Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for code assistance, prompt engineering, and validation while maintaining human oversight.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL (DML) and experience with cloud data services (Google Cloud preferred; AWS, Azure, Spark acceptable).
- Advanced programming in Python; knowledge of R or SAS is a plus.
- Experience with TensorFlow/keras, PyTorch/torch, or equivalent ML libraries.
- Ability to work independently on complex data problems and structure reusable code components.
- Solid analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted development, prompt engineering, and responsible deployment practices.
Required Education & Certifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Economics, Psychology, or a related quantitative field.
- Coursework or hands‑on experience in statistical programming and big data analytics.
