**Job title**: Data Reporting Analyst **Role Summary**: Support the Chief Investment Officer by creating and maintaining high‑quality analytics, dashboards, and reports that monitor investment strategies, portfolio performance, risk metrics, and operational KPIs for a leading alternative investment manager. **Expactations**: - Build and maintain interactive dashboards that evaluate fund performance, portfolio exposures, risk measures, and process KPIs. - Automate recurring reporting, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and transparency. - Document data sources, methodologies, and reporting logic for auditability. - Present quantified findings to the CIO and senior management, translating results into strategic insights. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design, develop, and update dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, etc.) to visualize performance, risk, and portfolio characteristics. - Calculate portfolio and risk metrics including volatility, drawdowns, correlations, expected shortfall, factor sensitivities, and other foundational measures. - Source, clean, and structure datasets from multiple systems; integrate data pipelines to support analytics. - Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for recurring reports. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for datasets, analytic workflows, and reporting logic. - Communicate insights through written reports, visualizations, and live presentations to the CIO and senior leadership. **Required Skills**: - Proficient in Python (data manipulation, statistical analysis, automation). - Proficient in SQL (data extraction, joining, aggregation). - Strong quantitative reasoning; familiarity with portfolio construction, exposure analysis, and risk measurement. - Ability to clean and validate datasets from heterogeneous sources. - Excellent written communication; ability to distill complex quantitative findings into clear, actionable narratives. - Skilled in designing effective dashboards, charts, and visual representations. - Familiarity with dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly) is a plus but not mandatory. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline. - No mandatory professional certifications required. ---
