**Job title**
Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Helps build, operate, and scale the company’s cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines. Owns CI/CD pipelines, automates infrastructure with IaC, ensures system reliability, observes performance, applies security best practices, and optimises cloud usage.
**Expectations**
- 6–8+ years in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering
- Proven ownership of end‑to‑end CI/CD and cloud setups in a fast‑moving, autonomous environment
- Hands‑on with AWS (minimum) and optional Azure/GCP
- Ability to design and mentor on secure, cost‑effective, scalable architectures
- Comfortable communicating across engineering, product and Ops teams
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement and maintain multi‑service CI/CD pipelines (Git, Terraform, Ansible)
- Provision, manage and optimise AWS/Azure infrastructure (RDS, ECS, EKS, etc.)
- Build reusable IaC modules for rapid service rollout
- Monitor, tune and troubleshoot production workloads for high availability
- Create and maintain observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts (Datadog, ELK) and traces (OpenTelemetry)
- Enforce security controls: IAM, network hardening, secrets, compliance documentation (SOC 2)
- Own container orchestration across platforms (ECS, Kubernetes)
- Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives for cloud resources
- Advocate and adopt new DevOps tools and practices
**Required Skills**
- Cloud platforms: AWS (required), Azure/GCP (plus)
- CI/CD design and tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.)
- IaC: Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation or Ansible
- Programming: Python, Go, or equivalent for automation scripts
- Containerization & orchestration: ECS, Kubernetes (k8s)
- Security: IAM, VPC, SSL, secrets management, SOC 2 compliance
- Observability: ELK, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
- Cost‑optimization: tagging, Reserved Instances, Spot, Savings Plans
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field **or** equivalent industry experience
- Professional certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
- Terraform Associate (HashiCorp)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent
- SOC 2 / security‑compliance credential (optional but preferred)
