**Job Title**
Senior Systems Engineer (Hybrid)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and operational delivery of on‑premises and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycles, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for infrastructure deployments.
**Expectations**
* 10+ years in senior systems engineering or infrastructure delivery.
* Proven leadership in technical projects yielding enterprise‑grade solutions.
* Expertise in Linux (RHEL), VMware, Nutanix, and Azure environments.
* Strong command of automation, IaC, and configuration management tools.
* Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, resilience, and performance of systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Architect, deploy, configure, and optimize virtual machines (Linux/Windows) across on‑prem, VMware, Nutanix, and Azure.
2. Engineer and automate infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, and related tooling.
3. Lead requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, and operational handoff.
4. Create and document infrastructure service offerings for internal stakeholders.
5. Coordinate with application owners as sole contact for deployment and integration.
6. Ensure adherence to security standards, perform systems hardening, and manage capacity planning.
7. Manage lifecycle activities—including patching, monitoring, backup, and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills**
* Advanced Linux (RHEL) administration
* Virtualization platforms: VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV
* Azure hybrid cloud integration
* Automation & IaC: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell
* Directory & network services: LDAP, DNS, DHCP
* Scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and system hardening
* Enterprise monitoring, patching, backup solutions
* Project leadership and stakeholder communication
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required).
* Professional certifications preferred: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Ansible Automation Certification, or equivalent.
