Job Description
**Job Title:** Financial Controller **Role Summary:** Lead end‑to‑end finance operations, driving billing, revenue, reporting, and reconciliation in a fast‑growing SaaS environment. Own process design, system automation, and compliance to transform reactive finance into proactive, data‑driven decision support. **Expectations:** - 2–4 years of finance, accounting, or FP&A experience, preferably in a startup or SaaS setting. - Strong detail orientation and ability to spot discrepancies in numbers and reports. - Proficiency with finance and collaboration tools (Stripe, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot, Zapier). - Analytical problem‑solving skills and a proactive, ownership mindset. - Experience coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies across multiple jurisdictions. - Demonstrated ability to improve processes, automate workflows, and document system designs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own and continuously improve core finance processes: billing, accounts receivable follow‑ups, invoicing automation, and reconciliation. - Manage end‑to‑end customer billing, including dispute resolution with Customer Success. - Prepare and support monthly financial statements, reconciliations with external accountants, and ad‑hoc financial analysis for leadership. - Lead audit and tax filing processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant jurisdictions. - Design and implement scalable tooling and process enhancements across finance operations, focusing on documentation and data quality. - Collaborate with VP Finance, cross‑functional teams, and external partners to ensure timely, accurate financial data. - Proactively identify and execute improvements to finance systems, dashboards, and workflows. **Required Skills:** - Accounting & finance operations: billing, revenue recognition, A/R, financial reporting, and reconciliations. - Multi‑national accounting experience and knowledge of cross‑border invoicing. - Tool fluency: Stripe, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot, Zapier (or equivalent). - Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and data validation. - Strong communication and stakeholder management. - Initiative, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset. - Ability to document processes and create clear, actionable dashboards. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. - CPA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting certification is a plus.
