Job Title
Analog/Digital Design Engineering Intern
Job Description
**Job Title:** Analog/Digital Design Engineering Intern **Role Summary:** Short‑term (3‑month summer) internship focused on designing and validating analog/mixed‑signal and digital (RTL) blocks for high‑speed memory interface chips (DDR5 and related serial links). Intern will collaborate with senior designers, perform schematic capture, simulation, post‑extraction analysis, and contribute to the end‑to‑end ASIC flow. **Expectations:** - Complete internship within a 3‑month period. - Work closely with experienced analog and digital design teams. - Deliver design solutions that meet performance, timing, and specification requirements. - Communicate progress and findings effectively across cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design analog/mixed‑signal circuit blocks (bias generators, on‑chip regulators, PLLs, memory buffers). - Create schematics, run SPICE/Spectre simulations, and analyze critical electrical and timing parameters. - Collaborate with layout engineers to evaluate post‑extraction performance. - Verify analog designs meet all specified criteria in partnership with senior designers. - Develop digital logic for packet‑based protocols, RTL coding, and ASIC implementation. - Execute complete ASIC flow: synthesis, DFT, timing closure, and verification. - Contribute to FPGA flow and verification concepts as needed. - Support design of DDR4/5 memory interfaces or serial links (USB, PCIe, SATA, DisplayPort). - Participate in R&D and future technology development projects. **Required Skills:** - Strong fundamentals in analog/mixed‑signal circuit design and analysis. - Proficiency in design tools: Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE/Spectre simulators. - Experience with semiconductor process nodes < 22 nm desirable. - Knowledge of basic analog blocks: bias generation, on‑chip regulation, PLL. - Familiarity with DDR4/5 or serial link interface design. - Packet‑based protocol understanding and digital design expertise. - Hands‑on experience with complete ASIC flow: synthesis, DFT, timing closure. - Exposure to FPGA flow and verification flow/concepts. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Motivation to learn and collaborate in a global, cross‑functional environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, or a related field (Microelectronics specialization preferred). - No specific certifications required. ---
